International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated on March 8th each year. The main theme for IWD this year focuses on #BreakTheBias, and the United Nations (UN) Women’s organisation has added a spotlight on gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow.
This year, iSpot has decided to celebrate women in biodiversity and citizen science. In doing so, they have opened a chat to share comments and stories while acknowledging the women in the iSpot community too! For this purpose, iForum LIVE has launched a new messaging feature using the iSpot Forum, so the iSpot community can interact, engage and chat together LIVE! Can’t join to chat live? The discussion thread will be open for messaging until the next scheduled event. You are welcome to join in and add to or continue the discussion before it closes for comments.
Anyone from iSpot can drop in and add a message at any time during the day, but the iSpot team thought it would be more fun and interactive to run three iForumLIVE! Chat segments at the following times: 10:00 – 10.30 a.m., 1:00 – 1:30 p.m. and 6:00 – 6:30 p.m. Members of the iSpot Team will join the iForum LIVE! IWD event space to host the discussion and interact and we hope you can join them live for one or all these times too.
Look out for the updated announcement and notification with iForum LIVE! links to this first event and how you can join in.
